Balkan civ cultureEdit
As the name implies, the balkan culture applies to european civs that reside on the balkan peninsula. Gameplay with a balkan civ is very unique compared to any other culture. The biggest difference of all is their economic system. To improve gathering rates of all resources, the balkan civ has two buildings that have economic upgrades. The market upgrades, wood, mining, crop, and bee hive gathering rates. The hunters lodge provides upgrades for gathering food from animals, and livestock. Similar to the native american cultures, the outpost, and infantry training buildings are merged into a building called the casern. Balkan civs upgrade all of thier infantry, cavalry, and artillery units in one upgrade at thier respective building. When infantry are upgraded at the casern, the outpost component of the casern is also upgraded giving a greater defense to the area around them. Players have a choice of 5 (6 for greek) politicians to age up with. One polician is available at the following buildings, casern, stable, artillery foundry, market, hunting lodge, and the dock (greeks only). In order to unlock the next set of market, and hunting lodge upgrades, a age up tech for the building must be research first after aging up. The standard food gathering source are crops. Crops must be planted by a villager, and over time the crops will provide more food when harvested. It is best to wait before harvesting crops, especially, if they have a higher food capacity such as radishes. The main gold gathering building is the bee hive, and only one villager can gather there. Unit upgrades are recruited, army, and aristocrat.
