"Romanian explorer. While slow, can instantly kill enemies and rise walls of impaled corpses." ― In game description.
Overview
The Domnitor used to be the unique Explorer unit of the Romanians until patch 1.0.13c when it was removed and substituted with the Cartographer. It used to perform in a more similar way to the European Explorer.
Distinguishing himself from the cartographer and the generic explorer it doesn't have access to the Cartography abillity and neither to the Crack Shot attack. Instead, it has 2 unique abilities with a more tactical style, the Heart Seal and the Forest of the Dead. The first one working in a similar way to the Sharpshooter Attack. As a countermeasure to these abilities, the Domnitor explorer excels at being one of the slowest infantry units in Wars of Liberty
Its tactical style can be further enhanced through Home City cards. For example giving him a slow aura.
Abilities
The following table shows the Romanian explorer abilities:
Abillity | Description |
---|---|
Heart Seal |
One single blow through heart that instanly kills enemies. |
Forest of the Dead |
Rises a forest of impaled corpses around a friendly Town Center. |
- The in-game description of the Forest of the Dead is actually out of date as the ability is casted around the Domnitor and cannot be used when it is too close to an enemy Town Center.
