The Spearman is a Pikeman-like unit available for the Africans.

The Spearman is a heavy infantry unit. Like Pikemen, they have low attack, but high siege damage and multipliers against cavalry and light infantry. The Spearman is one of the earliest heavy infantry units available to the African civilizations with the purpose of countering cavalry and light infantry, but it is often outclassed by the alternatives with more versatility, such as the Neftenya and the Impi, both being ranged Heavy Infantry with melee multipliers equal or greater than that of the Spearman.
