Overview
- The Indians are an Asian civilization featured in Age of Empires III: Wars of Liberty as a modified version of the original Indian civilization from Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties. In Wars of Liberty, the Indians are a religious people, who respect herdable animals and don't treat them as food.
- Their military is based on fast camel units and strong elephants, whereas their economy mostly depends on the wood of the country's mango groves.

Unique Units
The Indians are largely unchanged from their appearance in The Asian Dynasties.
Sepoy: A powerful Heavy Infantry musketeer unit. Good against Cavalry in melee.
Gurkha: An early skirmisher, good against Heavy Infantry and Ranged Cavalry.
Rajput: A fast melee unit. Good against Infantry and Cavalry.
Urumi: Uses a sword whip that does area damage. Good against heavy infantry. Available only from the Home City.
Sowar: Weak, heavy cavalry melee unit with a small bonus against Infantry.
Zamburak: A very cheap Ranged Cavalry, with a bonus against Cavalry and Artillery.
Mahout Lancer: A powerful melee elephant unit. Has lots of HP, area damage, and Siege damage as well.
Howdah: High hitpoints ranged Elephant cavalry effective against cavalry and artillery.
Flail Elephant: A light Elephant unit with good Siege damage.
Siege Elephant: An elephant with a cannon on its back. Good against buildings.
Brahmin: Religious leader and healer with a Stomp area attack that can stun Treasure Guardians. Explores, fights, and builds Town Centers and Trading Posts.

Sacred Field: Cows can be tasked to this building to generate experience faster.
Caravanserai: Equivalent of the Stable, trains camels and elephants and their respective upgrades.
Mango Grove: A grove of mango trees that can be harvested for Wood.
Wonders
Agra Fort: Powerful, defensive building that can also train units.
Charminar Gate: Trains mansabdars that increase attack and hitpoints of your troops.
Karni Mata: Increases gather rate of nearby units.
Taj Mahal: Casts the Cease Fire ability to stop combat.
Tower of Victory: Casts the Inspiration ability, which greatly increases the attack, hitpoints, and speed of your land units.
